Djedjotronic turns up on Central Processing Unit (Microlith, Jensen Interceptor) with an EP of electro-techno hybrids. ‘Drexciyan’ is a word that’s often thrown about in the vicinity of Djedjotronic records, and on Cruising it appears that the French producer is sticking to his guns. Numbers such as ‘#1#0#2’ and ‘Cellular’ combine cut-and-thrust grooves with juicy harmonic synths in a way that nods to the Detroit legends. ‘Tunnel’ is a particularly intense bit of retro-techno fetishism.
