Garrett returns to Music From Memory (Gaussian Curve, Dip In The Pool) to drop the second installment of his Private Life series. Now that we all know that Garrett is actually Damon Garrett Riddik of Dam-Funk fame it makes it easier to get a handle on the Private Life releases. See these records as Riddick taking his foot off the gas and letting the more cerebral elements of the Dam-Funk sound come to the fore. This means that wistful Balearic synths, yacht rock chord progressions and the occasional excursion into ambient soundscaping is the order of the day on Private Life II.
