Experimental group the Langham Research Centre have two tracks from their impressive 2017 LP Tape Works Vol. 1 remixed on this new EP. Jim O’Rourke gets his hands on ‘Quasar Melodics’ and stretches out the Radiophonic Workshop-style musique concrete of the original into an eerie crackle. Group A’s flip of ‘Perpetual Motion’ does something similar - their version is a cautious thing reminiscent of early Stockhausen. Tape Reworks Vol. 1 proves to be a fine accompanying piece to the original LP. Out via Nonclassical.
