Bleep

Featuring a proud collection of 28 tracks recorded between 2014 and 2017, prolific Japanese noise artist Sofheso is a contemporary unsung hero of the genre. This is sound as process, explored and developed over the course of the compilation’s track listing, at one time revelling in discombobulating staccatos, and the next awash with precipitous scrapes and rolling boils. This is as sensitive as Burial, with some of Autechre’s dance floor complexity to boot, but it’s clear that no one makes compelling noise music quite like Sofheso.
