Though the Trax label may not be as well known as the identically-named Chicago imprint, the Italian stable was also putting out important records in the 1980s. In 1982 they issued the first and only LP from The Cop Killers. On the eponymously-titled album, the trio aimed to go boldly where others had not gone before and made a spoken-word industrial opera. The resulting full-length, now reissued for the first time by Ecstatic Records (Jay Glass Dubs, Abul Mogard), joins the dots between Goth, minimal synth and musique concrete.
