The fifth instalment of Matthew Herbert’s mid-90s EP series gets the reissue treatment. Back in the days when Herbert was just a budding producer going by his surname, the run of records he released between 1995 and 1996 helped put him on the map as one of the most exciting talents in European deep house. Part Five contains four shuffling jams that combine strong flavours of Kenny Dixon Jr. with the garage grit of Herbert’s native UK.
