Jazz re:freshed drop ‘Raw Cause’ from 1000 Kings, a group starring bassist Karl Rasheed-Abel, drummer Kwake Bass and a saxophonist whose identity cannot be revealed for contractual reasons. The trio are all known for their individual collaborations with high profile musicians such as MF Doom and Roots Manuva. Together, the quality of their musicianship speaks for itself. Recorded more than four years ago, the LP swings from jazz and hip-hop inspired hues to notes of more folk oriented design.
