2018 marks 30 years since the Seattle rock legends Mudhoney first got together in a practice room to bang out a few tunes. To celebrate the milestone Mudhoney give us Digital Garbage, their tenth studio full-length and first since 2013’s Vanishing Point. The band may be longer in the tooth than many of the current crop of U.S. grunge groups, but this embattled collection proves that they can still teach the young pretenders a thing or two. Lead single ‘Paranoid Core’, for instance, conjures a bitter energy not dissimilar to golden-age Black Flag.
