Composed between a village in the Swiss Alps and the hectic stage of Mitch von Arx’s life in east London, ‘Pyramids’ draws most of its inspiration from the producer’s exposure to the raw and enchanting nature of the Alps (evident on track titles like ‘Mist’ and ‘Melt’). The melodic techno on Pyramids is formed from unique noises generated through small or accidental audio imperfections, resampled guitar and detuned synths, which alongside the Swiss scenery, serve to inspire von Arx in the creation of this emotive and atmospheric techno release.
