The Radiophonic Workshop present Possum (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), astonishingly the first ever soundtrack from the pioneering UK electronic research lab who are responsible for some of the mind-warping sounds from Doctor Who and Quatermass.
Following the 'Burials In Several Earths' long-player and the extended 'Everything You Can Imagine Is Real' session, which was composed and recorded in response to an exhibition of work by Pablo Picasso, 'Possum' is the first time the Radiophonic Workshop (who in one shape or another over half a century have been writing scores for radio and television) have ever scored a feature film for theatrical release or collaborated on a major score. Tapping into the hidden reverse previously explored through the sounds of groups like Zos Kia, Nurse With Wound and the many masters of Italian Giallo soundtracks, Possum (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) finds The Radiophonic Workshop bringing to boil some of the most haunted, blood-chilling incidental sounds to have ever been captured within Room 13.
