Deathoprod, Arve Henriksen and Ståle Storløkken's flagship project supersilent continues to cloud the skies above with their new album, 14. Ripe with the sort of sonic intrigue that has kept supersilent at the forefront of darkside drone for the best part of two decades, 14 is wrapped up in the project’s usual mystery, one that over the course of its 33 minute running time leaves more questions asked than answered. If you are looking for a deeply cathartic experience then this album is gonna hit you hard. The spectre of Deathprod’s Treetop Drive haunts every step of these cloak and dagger stabs in the dark.
It's going to be a few months into winter before we really start to get our heads around this one, but for now, 14 is a great escape if you want to be left in the mood for emptiness.
