Trunk serves up the fifth instalment of their Britxotica! series. Compiled by Martin Green and Jonny Trunk, the two vinyl virtuosos take us on a percussion-driven exploration of Latin American sounds. Bookended by two energetic versions of ‘The High Life’, the first by tribal dancer Marion Ryan and the closing one by mambo artists Toni Sharpe, Basil and Ivor Kirchin, this compilation is an energetic and dance-inducing tribute to British dancefloors of yore (and in particular that of the Eve Club, which finally closed its London doors in the late 90s). Featuring Neville Taylor’s cover of loungecore hit ‘House of Bamboo’.
