Life’s Good is a new venture that seeks to reissue some lost classics from the early days of techno. They’ve locked down a cracking set of tracks to kick the series off in the form of two old Juan Atkins gems. A-side ‘Dimensions’ originally appeared on the 1992 compilation Panic In Detroit. However, on that record ‘Dimensions’ was crammed in alongside so many other tracks that it didn’t have any space to breathe. Life’s Good rectify the problem by re-cutting it to a whole side of vinyl, in the process giving the track’s stuttering synths and propulsive beat a new lease of life. B-side ‘Flash Flood’, with its dystopian and paranoid Detroit vibe, will slot neatly into many mixes.
