The artist also known as Baths returns to Ghostly International with a new LP from his Geotic project. Traversa runs with the pretty house- and synth-pop-influenced sound that served its predecessor Abysma so well. The eight tracks here are warm, friendly things that have a fine way with melody and harmony. Entries like ‘Swiss Bicycle’ and ‘Maglev’ fall somewhere between the ambient techno sound of Kiasmos and the polite insistence of Gold Panda. Vocals are scarce on this record, but when they do appear - on ‘Terraformer’, for instance - they give Traversa’s sound more of an Italians Do It Better vibe.
