Dutch reissue specialists Music From Memory (Richenel, Dip In The Pool) give new life to a 1982 LP by German artist G. B. Beckers. Beckers was a guitarist of some distinction back in the day - as well as being an axeman-for-hire he also released a few of his own records on Klaus Schulze’s Innovative Communication imprint. Walkman, his third full-length, was initially put out by Beckers’ own Milky Music label. Then ten tracks here are dreamy things that combine influences from New Age music and minimalist composition. If you enjoyed the recent Orquesta De Las Nubes release by MFM then Walkman should also appeal.
