Recorded at the Silent Hill Studios in San Francisco back in 1993 descriptions of Heavenly Music Corporation’s ‘In A Garden of Eden’ state that it was created for the Space Age Lounge in Goa, India, ‘a technomystical chill room’. Further descriptions of the work claim that it was composed using a process of ‘sublingual hypgnosis’ which tends to induce something identified as a ‘theta state’. Featuring five songs from the work’s original score of seven, Astral Industries’ reissue of ‘In A Garden of Eden’ is a spaced-out listening experience designed to soothe those exposed to the bleached synth drones of each work. Tracks like ‘Cloud Structure Silence’ and ‘Ambient To Be Here’ set the tone, expanded outfits of New-Age production that supply glimmering interludes of tranquil contemplation, while the latter three tracks on the vinyl provide some slightly more dynamic content.
