Previous members of Wire and Coil present their latest work, a self-titled mirage of dark ambience and eery electronic noise. Compiled of two ten plus minute tracks, ‘Electric Blanket’ commences on a psychedelic journey that halts abruptly in the middle, snarling at the passengers that stayed onboard for the ride. The hallucinatory atmospheres pick up again towards the song’s conclusion before the quartet lurch into ‘Nice Setting’, a disconcerting exploration of industrial sound juxtaposed with bells and a haunted male voice over.
