In Spring 2018 Counterchange Records founder Inland (Ed Davenport) was invited to create a musical soundtrack for a video installation by the artist Julian Charriere. Inspired by the 200th anniversary of the eruption of Indonesia’s Tambora volcano, An Invitation To Disappear was an intense meditation on humankind’s relationship with the natural world. Now Inland has refigured his accompanying music for a solo LP release on A-Ton. This is a collection of humid techno and ambient electronics in the vein of Answer Code Request.
