80's sounding squelch don Ceephax returns with his first material in 2 years with the second of a pair of new 12"s. While the style hasn't changed much in the interim, It's hard to think of anyone who manages to carve up the dancefloor with acid of this notoriety, Byron's Ballads is equal parts Bang Face 8 am meltdown and equal parts peak time darkside drenching.

Byron's Ballads harks back to the Ceephax sound of his vastly underrated Planet Mu LP, United Acid Emirates. Absolutely killing it on the production tip as always, the 80's funk vibe is strong here. Close your eyes and it's hard to not imagine that it's some authentic late 80's Chi-Town jack.
