Ceephax drops the first of two full-length releases and appears to be in a particularly playful mood this time round! 'Volume One' is in a similar style to his 'Exidy Tours' release that came out initially on First Cask and features 12 tracks that combine elements of hardcore and D&B with Ceephax's trademark nostalgic up-beat melodies. There's slightly less of the acid that populated his album for Breakin' but things do calm down a bit from 'Dreamer' onwards with the tempo dropping to slightly more relaxed levels. Overall it's a well selected collection of tracks which work well as an album.
