Krikor Kouchian dropped his Pacific Alley LP via Long Island Electrical Systems back in the Autumn of 2017. With its mixture of lo-fi house, electro-funk and Vaporwave stylings, Pacific Alley was a record that cried out for remixing. Fast-forward a year and Kouchian (now going under, simply, Krikor) has done just that. Pacific Alley In Dub is - yes - six dubbified versions of tunes from the original full-length. We mean dub in a holistic sense. There’s plenty of dub techno and Balearic sounds to go alongside the roots and rocksteady influences here. The two riddims Krikor offers up are nice skew-whiff dancehall affairs.
