For those unfamiliar with the incredible music of Swamp Dogg you are in for a treat... An irreverent anti-hero smashing the conventions of commercial R&B music, Love, Loss, and Auto-Tune finds Swamp Dogg’s bluesy southern soul colliding head-on with 21st Century electronic music production techniques, the result is an incredibly good record very much worthy of your time.

Jerry Williams, Jr. has been around for many a year now - he cut his first record as Little Jerry way back in the 1950s - and as such he knows a few things about love and loss. For his latest full-length as Swamp Dogg, Williams taps into the vulnerable autotune sound that has done so well for the likes of Kanye West and Bon Iver in recent times. Combining this distinctly contemporary technology with his gruff Southern blues style proves an inspired move. Rarely have Swamp Dogg’s paeans to the travails of life sounded at once so alienated and so intimate.
