Back in 2017 the Tigersushi/Disco Halal artist Krikor Kouchian released his Saudi cassette via Low Jack’s Editions Gravats label. Containing music Krikor composed for a French documentary about the shady dealings of the Saudi royal family, the record marked a change in style for Krikor. The big-beat techno textures of yore had been replaced by a sound that fluctuated between hypnagogic ambiences and minimal synth interludes. Given this new aesthetic it’s perhaps no surprise to find out that the album is now being reissued by L.I.E.S.
