On Through The Looking Glass, the latest remix EP to spawn from Special Request’s Belief System album, Nina Kraviz turns in not one but two versions of Belief System highlight ‘Curtain Twitcher’. Her ‘Alice Was Here’ entry is a foggy minimal techno take of the sort that will please anyone who’s kept an eye on her TRIP imprint over the past couple of years. Meanwhile her ‘Samba’ effort is as slinky as the title suggests. On the flip, Anastasia Kristensen turns the mournful modulars of ‘Tiresias’ into a lurching 130-bpm banger. Nestled amid all this we get a typically brain-bending bit of junglism from Special Request himself in the form of ‘Looking Glass’.
