After an impressive debut release from Seraphim Rytm, Mirae Arts drop their second record. It comes courtesy of Japanese composer Michiru Aoyama, an ambient artist who counts Ryuichi Sakamoto among his fans and has released on labels including Organic Industries and Somehow Recordings. His Brilliant Days LP consists of two long tracks, each taking up a side of vinyl, that glide along on spacious drones. It brings to mind the work of Sakamoto himself as well as a more tranquil rendering of the psychedelia of artists like Cankun and Panda Bear. Occasional moments of glitchy electronics bring Oval to mind.
