The entire recording of Theo Parrish’s terminating set at Plastic People, the pinnacle of London nightclubs, has been released on Sound Signature. Divided across three discs and stored in shrink wrap packaging, this charming piece of history documents the atmosphere in the room during Theo Parrish’s final set, capturing the involvement of his audience through their cheers and laughter. Clocking in at four hours and thirty-six minutes, Thanks To Plastic is sold without a track listing, although those well-acquainted with Parrish will be able to pick out some favourite selections from amongst the mix. Opening with Buari’s ‘Advice From Father’, Parrish takes listeners and club goers on an eclectic journey featuring artists such as Lil’ Louis, Sade, Fela Kuti and lots more.
