Two long-in-the-tooth experimental artists join forces here on this latest Entr’acte drop (Transistor, Helena Gough). Both Munich’s Valerio Tricoli and Berlin-based Hanno Leichtmann have been around the block a few times now, and La Casa delle Chimera is the sort of LP that comes from people who really know what they’re doing. This is not random sound generation masquerading as sound art. Rather, what we have here is an LP of dense and compelling electroacoustic/concrete pieces in the tradition of Karlheinz Stockhausen. Fans of what they do at Pan and Cosmo Rhythmatic will get plenty of kicks out of La Casa delle Chimera.
