Frankfurt’s Shan returns to Gerd Janson’s Running Back with a new EP. Run Tings is a typical Running Back selection. The four tracks here are all melodic deep house cuts that will sound great if dropped at either sunset or sunrise. ‘Who Run Tings’ and ‘Awakening’ display a little retro-house flavour, what with their ‘Amen’ breaks and their piano stabs. Meanwhile ‘English Summer’ and ‘Take Me To The Top’ are languid jams that ride on catchy basslines.
