Light In The Attic come through with yet another gem from the Haruomi Hosono vaults. Those who are intimate with Hosono’s work often count Hosono House among his best records, but limited availability means that not as many people have got to listen to this record as they should have. Now this reissue - the first edition of the LP outside of Hosono’s native Japan - allows a new generation to enjoy these lovely tunes. Recorded in 1973 when Hosono was between bands, Hosono House finds him indulging his Americana and folk tendencies. The resulting tunes recall Paul McCartney and The Band as well as Hosono’s early group Happy End.
