At the time of writing (12 July 2018) there is one copy of Bo’vel’s 1996 EP Coming Back going on Discogs. It’s yours for just under two grand. If you haven’t got quite that much cash to burn, then the diggers at Be With Records have snapped up the rights to reissue Coming Back highlight ‘Check 4 U’. One spin of this thing and you can see what the fuss is all about. ‘Check 4 U’ is a delightfully wistful bit of 90s r&b, the sort of thing that could have appeared on an Aaliyah full-length and been hailed as a classic. This release comes backed with a fun garage remix courtesy of Metrodome.
