After a well-received debut EP for Dekmantel in 2017, Amsterdam duo Bruxas return to the label with another four-track. Much like its predecessor Mas Profundo, Sirocco is a set of chirpy club fare that puts roots down in Balearic house while also chucking a few other styles into the mix. ‘Hermes’ and ‘Maria’s Holiday’ are delightfully insouciant sunset-party fare - we expect the latter to be a dancefloor anthem throughout the coming summer. The two mixes of the title track are both excellent in their own way. While the ‘Club Version’ is a shuffling mid-set roller, the ‘Original Mix’ that kicks off Sirocco sets the scene perfectly for the rest of the record with its bubbling keys and chemtrails of reverb.
