Epic package of archival recordings from the vaults of Disques Debs, one of the biggest players in the Guadeloupe/French Caribbean musical explosion of the 50s. Over the course of 21 tracks, the guys at Strut introduce us to the various strains of music DD have released in their decade-spanning career. From the sweet sounds of sunny fusion a la Alain Peters through to zouk, bolero and reggae we are introduced to a whole host of artists whose music often failed to make an impact outside of this small pocket of land.
