The Death Waltz Recording Company do a great line in movie music releases, but this time they’ve gone for something a little different. Joe LoDuca’s score for 1981’s The Evil Dead has become one of the most seminal soundtracks in horror movie history. Instead of reissuing the work verbatim, LoDuca has gone a step further here and reworked his original music. His fresh ears and the new techniques that he has picked up in the intervening years allow him to up the ante on compositions already full of tension and spook. Evil Dead: A Nightmare Reimagined comes with new artwork by original The Evil Dead poster artist Graham Humphreys.
