The world’s "most successful virtual band" Gorillaz’ sixth studio album The Now Now lands on Parlophone.
The Now Now is still loaded to the brim with easy to recite hooks and catchy choruses that make sure the musical focus is fully aimed at reaching the biggest festival tents and the record racks of those massive edge of the town Tescos that they have these days. For this latest session the group have chosen to strip back the star-studded guest lineups of previous albums, choosing to focus fully on the band’s core line up: "blue-haired, sweet-natured dreamer 2D on vocals; whip-smart Japanese badass Noodle on guitar; not forgetting Brooklyn-born philosopher and the meat–behind-the-beat Russel Hobbs on drums". Only Snoop Dogg, Jamie Principle and George Benson pop-up for cameos. This back to basics approach will ensure that fans of the group will undoubtedly be pleased.
