When DJ Sprinkles and Hardrock Striker recently dropped the extremely peng Skylax House Explosion mix, we were promised that releases of full-length tunes would emerge soon enough. Cue Under The Loft, a five-track vinyl-only EP of exquisite NYC club fare as curated by the duo. The Loft in question, of course, is David Mancuso’s legendary New York party space, and the five tunes here harness the spirit of that pioneering venue. Under the watchful gaze of Striker and Sprinkles, producers including Sinan Kaya and Slowdawn offer up these soulful, louche jams that take influences from garage, house, jazz, soul and more.
