This record does all the work for you, fronting the twelve Blue Note Records classics that Madlib used as his source material when creating his 2003 masterpiece. There are some big hitters in the tracklist here - Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Donald Byrd, Horace Silver (the inimitable ‘Song For My Father’).
