Peder Mannerfelt’s eponymous label, which has also released music by Clara Lewis and Hodge, drops the second EP from Sissel Wincent. Inspirational Quotes follows 2016’s Illusion of Randomness (also released by PMP) and shows Wincent expanding her sound while also sticking to her principles. Her pared-back, slightly nervy take on electronica still has more than a dash of Fever Ray to it, but her sound is now somehow fuller-sounding. It may be her more liberal use of abrasive textures - distorted synthesisers and drums, largely - but Inspirational Quotes sees Wincent taking her sound to a place that is (surprise surprise) not dissimilar to Peder Mannerfelt.
