It’s no unlucky thirteen for Batu’s Timedance label. Now comfortably into double-figures, the label is gearing up for the release of its first full-length record, a compilation entitled Patina Echoes. In order to whet the appetite, the label are teasing the compilation with this three-track EP. Only one of the artists - Bruce - has featured on Timedance before, and his entry is something of a curveball. Anyone expecting a banger in the vein of ‘I’m Alright Mate’ will be blindsided by ‘Let’s Make The Most Of Our Time Here’, a beautifully restrained piece of electroacoustic ambience. Elsewhere on the EP rRoxymore continues to do everything in her power to make 2018 her year with the screwball techno of ‘bRINGTHEbRAVE’, while Leeds up-and-comer Chekov impresses with the whirring soundsystem techno of his ‘Stasis 113’.
