To celebrate the tenth birthday of Joker’s Kapsize imprint the Bristolian producer is releasing a series of 12”s through the label. While the first release of the series might have thrown us a bit of a curveball in the form of ambient B-side ‘Forever’, things are back to normal here. Both ‘Boat’ and ‘Deploy’ are the kind of dutty, screeching big-room bangers that Joker’s name has become a byword for down the years. ‘Boat’ brings to mind his old mate Rustie, beginning with some maximalist keyboard noodling before a drop that will signal gunfingers up and down the land. On the flip, ‘Deploy’ combines some trap/Road Rap-inspired drums with a wobbling dubstep bassline.
