Sully is not messing around with this one. Out via his new label Uncertain Hour - an imprint which he’s running with the credo ‘all Sully, all jungle’ - ‘Vacancy’ and ‘Digitalis’ are both rough-as-hell breakbeat masterclasses. The former is reminiscent of 90s jungle legend Skanna due to its echoey snatches of vocal and unnerving synths, but here the bass hits deeper and the snare clatters harder. B-side ‘Digitalis’, meanwhile, turns the humble snare drum into an instrument of great melodic versatility, in turn showing off Sully’s command of his craft. Deployment of either one of these will likely cause pandemonium in the dance.
