While Luke Slater has gone by many names in his long career - Planetary Assault Systems, Deputy Dawg, even Krispy Krouton for a little while - few have got the blood racing quite like L.B. Dub Corp. Side Effects, the second LBDC LP to be released on Slater’s own Mote-Evolver imprint (Marcel Fengler, Kamikaze Space Programme), is another brilliant salvo of hallucinatory techno. The eleven tracks here all come with a light cosmic flavour to them, but their psychedelic tendencies never get in the way of maximum dancefloor impact. Would look very nice alongside the Ostgut Ton/Super Rhythm Trax wax in your collection.
