Eager to get in on the trend of techno/house producers adding some gravitas to their work by hooking up with an orchestra, Henrik Schwarz has gone and got himself an ensemble. The German big-hitter has teamed up with Jules Buckley’s Metropole Orkest for Scripted Orkestra, a work that has its origins in a performance at the 2016 Amsterdam Dance Event. Together they have come up with eight sprightly pieces which bridge the gap between the electronic and the orchestral. If you’ve enjoyed recent excursions into the ‘classical’ by artists like Actress and Carl Craig, then you should be able to get behind this LP too.
