After a few years away from the spotlight, early-days Witch-houser (and possibly hardest act to Google ever) oOoOO returns with this collaborative LP alongside Islamiq Grrrls. Faminine Mystique - that’s pronounced ‘famine in mystique’, if you were wondering - sees the pair play off each other to good effect. Islamiq Grrrls’ style falls somewhere between 18+, Alice Glass and Zola Jesus, and those tones blur nicely with oOoOO’s gloomy chillwave thing. There are also some unexpected sonic excursions on the album - ‘Feeling Feelings’, for instance, has a cool sort of bedroom-jazz breakdown. This one’s being released by oOoOO’s own Nihjgt Feelings imprint.
