Legendary English eccentric Leyland Jim Kirby returns to his Caretaker alias for part four of Everywhere at the End Of Time. Although plying his haunted-ballroom-sound-manipulation fare for almost two decades now he still manages to deliver top notch after hours drone. Think defragmented, cut up Autechre ambience colliding with William Basinski and the likes. It’s psychedelia influenced music for sure, but not in that clichéd way that a lot of electronic music can fall into. The Caretaker is more like a reminder of distant memories, places and faces being constantly churned through a reverb-soaked kaleidoscope.
