The fourth feature from Shane Meadows (This is England, A Room for Romeo Brass) and the first feature of Warp Films, Dead Man’s Shoes is a gritty yet fiercely moral tale of Gangland retribution.

Richard (Paddy Considine) has always protected his simple-minded younger brother Anthony (Toby Kebbell), but when Richard leaves the rural village where they have grown up to join the army, Anthony is taken in by Sonny (Gary Stretch), a vicious local drug dealer, and his gang of thugs. Anthony becomes the gang’s pet and it amuses them to intimidate him and corrupt his innocence. Seven years later Richard returns for revenge.

The outstanding score features music by Aphex Twin, Gravenhurst and Bonnie Prince Billy, amongst others, Dead Man’s Shoes has been hailed as a landmark in British cinema.
