Ø is the first publication on Hyperdub’s new book imprint, Flatlines Press. Between January 2017 and March 2020, the label threw 36 events at Corsica Studios in South London. Curated by Kode9 and Shannen SP, with logo and flyer design by Manuel Sepulveda a.k.a Optigram, the events brought together the label’s artists with some of our favourite musicians from around the world, while on what is usually the club’s main dance floor, audio/visual and sometimes performative installations mutated the space in often surprising ways. This 120 page book, designed and edited by Optigram, is a time capsule of those 36 events, featuring full colour photos of the installations, conceptual abstracts, artist bios, short additional texts and a flyer archive of the line ups.

This pocket sized book is 178x110mm with textured 270gsm black card cover, white silkscreen printed logo and thread-sewn binding. The interior pages are litho printed in full colour on 120gsm woodfree uncoated paper, carbon balanced through the World Land Trust.

All profits from the sales of the book will be donated to Latin Elephant, a charity working to assist traders recently relocated through the gentrification of Elephant & Castle, and advocating for the rights of migrant and ethnic groups in the area.
