Mint Condition reissue some bleep techno heat in the form of Demonik’s Labyrinthe EP. This record is helmed around two mixes of its title-track - the original version which did such damage in the raves when it first emerged in 1990 and a previously unreleased ‘Raw Mix’ of the same tune. ‘Labyrinthe’ still packs a serious punch, blending earth-shaking sub-bass, eerie keyboard pads and alien-transmission synth blips in a way which still sounds futuristic all these years later, while the ‘Raw Mix’ flushes the tune with a little more grit.

Demonik repeats the trick of delivering one old favourite and one freshly-unearthed treat on Labyrinthe’s B-side. ‘6-5-0-2’ is the rarity - this is a tune which maintains the same bleep ‘n’ bass energy of ‘Labyrinthe’ but whose slightly quicker tempo and juddering bass lick nudges it a little closer to Detroit. Finally, this edition of the Labyrinthe EP closes out with ‘Frenzy’, an energetic roller and the same tune which brought the curtain down on the 1990 record. As is the case with everything else on Labyrinthe, a new mastering job from London's Curve Pusher packs out the mix of ‘Frenzy’ here.

Demonik’s beloved bleep techno joint ‘Labyrinthe’ is remastered and reissued, along with another old favourite and two pieces of previously unreleased heat, by the Mint Condition label.
