Berlin-based producer Kangding Ray delivers his eighth LP, his first studio outing on his ara label. These are a set of club tracks skilfully crafted by a producer with an ear for melody and tuneful arrangement; deep bass glides coalesce with layers of skittering percussion, swelling arpeggiated synths and technoid beats on a release that is described by the artist as “hyper-digital, intricate, nervous, but also colourful and ultimately really beautiful”.
