Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh, JK Flesh, and plenty more) marks the first major return of his beatless project FINAL since 2015 with a new LP entitled It Comes To Us All. It Comes is also FINAL’s debut on Helm’s Alter label, a fine fit for a record that straddles harsh industrial, soothing ambience, and experimental pop sensibilities in equal measure. Taking hints from all of his heavier project, It Comes applies a fine lather of powerful noise atop otherwise blissful and weightless stretches of beauty for eight unnamed tracks. Sampling from field recordings and pop music that sounds decaying in its processing, FINAL connects disparate sounds from all over in the pursuit of something entirely different. The end result is yet another thrilling release from an artist that remains at the cutting edge.
