Fleeting Future marks two beginnings: the first release on Tonal Union, founded by artist Adam Heron, and the debut from multi-instrumentalist composer Pascal Bideau’s new project Akusmi. As such, it’s full of wonder and exploration, with bright eyed instruments leading the way, building fluttering layers on the title track as cathartic chords come together. Bideau shows off his production skills on ‘Divine Moments Of Truth’, with frantic guitar plucks leading to an entrancing electronica breakdown, while urban hustle and bustle on ‘Neo Tokyo’ is rendered in chaotically moving percussion and winds.
